Singing Bowls

Hand Made Nepalese Singing Bowls

Singing bowls, also known as Tibetan or Himalayan singing bowls, are traditionally made through a detailed and intricate process that combines craftsmanship with spiritual and cultural significance.

Traditionally, singing bowls are made from a mix of metals. A common combination is an alloy of seven metals, each representing a different celestial body: gold (Sun), silver (Moon), mercury (Mercury), copper (Venus), iron (Mars), tin (Jupiter), and lead (Saturn).

Our completed singing bowls undergo a blessing or consecration ritual performed by monks. This imbues the bowl with spiritual energy and significance.

The process of making a singing bowl is both an art and a craft, requiring skill, patience, and an understanding of the materials and their spiritual significance. Modern manufacturing methods may use machinery to replicate some steps, but traditional hand-crafted singing bowls are highly valued for their unique qualities and the care put into their creation.
